[ad_1]

Update 05/04/2021 – The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro take the place of Liberty Air 2 in our ranking. They are certainly a little more expensive, but offer a better quality service in many points (audio, active noise reduction, housing) while remaining under the bar of 100 €. For more information on these products, we invite you to read our tests.

AirPods are consistently among the best-selling True Wireless headphones. In 2019, Strategy Analytics estimated Apple’s share in this segment at no less than 54.4%. If you are interested in these headphones, you may have already scoured Amazon for cheaper alternatives, since the AirPods start at 179 euros and reach 229 euros with wireless charging. In this case, you must have noticed that today there are a lot of cheaper models on the market. Only, are they really good?

We have already drawn up the (real) best True Wireless headphones of the market where the AirPods Pro, the Sony WF-1000XM3, but also the Jabra Elite Active 75T, even the surprising ones Anker Liberty Air 2 Pro. And it is on the basis of the observation that it is now possible to find True Wireless valid under 100 € that we have established this list of products for tight budgets. Almost all these models are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 technology which improves the stability of the connection, on the other hand be aware that the quality of the calls will never be up to the AirPods, which remain the best on this point still to this day.

1. Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro, the best alternative to AirPods

In this market for “truly wireless” headphones at less than 100 €, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro are a sure bet. For a fraction of the price of Apple’s wireless headphones, these headphones deliver much better sound and premium features. The design is relatively close to what Apple does, aside from the in-ear format, but you clearly get better than the cheaper AirPods. Remember to use the 30 € coupon before putting the headphones in your basket on Amazon in order to have them at 99.99 €.

After the Soundcore Liberty Air 1 and 2 offering an excellent quality / price ratio, we go up a notch with the Liberty Air 2 Pro, equipped with a good quality active noise reduction for a price certainly a little higher but all the same content. For the price, the sound is really very good, the headphones have a powerful Bluetooth 5 connection (but without multipoint) and a very good battery life of 6 hours, plus 15 in the case which is also Qi compatible (wireless charging). As a bonus, the headphones are resistant to water splashes (IPX4). But to have these performances, the headphones must suit your body type. This is the major flaw of this model. Although it comes with many ear tips for all sizes, the ear cups do not fit into the ear canal enough so they will not always fit well and some might struggle to achieve a good sound seal. Despite this, and thanks to their technical sheet that we usually find on more expensive models, these headphones offer, in our opinion, one of the best quality / price ratios on the market.

2. Jabra Elite Active 65t, the best alternative to AirPods for athletes

Long at the top of our ranking of the best True Wireless headphones on the market, Jabra’s famous Elite Active 65t have since been replaced by the 75t. However, they remain on sale with a reduced price of less than € 100 now (they cost € 200 initially) which makes them a very good alternative to AirPods at a low price, with a much higher sound. In addition, they have a sweat-proof coating and some useful functions for athletes. In our opinion, it is the best alternative for those who like to train in music.

The sporty version of the Jabra Elite 65t, the Elite Active 65t, has long been one of the best true wireless headphones. Their sound is of excellent quality, the hands-free mode is very good, the finely reworked design compared to the Elite Sport offers much better comfort and resistance to sweat welcome, the ergonomics are almost perfect, the controls are among the more efficient and complete, the wireless connection in Bluetooth 5.0 and NFMI is very stable, the latency is imperceptible and as a bonus, they support the main personal assistants. We would just have liked them to take better advantage of Bluetooth 5.0 and to offer more “sport” functions. In short, it’s almost faultless for Jabra.

3. Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2, the best alternative to AirPods under 70 €

The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 ignore active noise reduction and are less good on the audio side than the Liberty Air 2 Pro. But at only € 70, the Chinese brand’s wireless headphones hold up very well and remain excellent on many levels such as hands-free calls.

The props maker Anker and his Soundcore brand has made a name for itself in the entry-level audio product market, in particular thanks to a few devices offering excellent value for money, such as these Liberty Air 2. The first generation was already very interesting, for this new generation the brand has improved the autonomy of the headphones, the quality of calls and modernized the connection by providing them with USB-C and wireless charging. The Bluetooth 5 connection remains as stable and efficient as before but gains a new function, the use of a single earpiece, and the audio quality is still very good for the price even if we find the sound a bit too much. brilliant. IPX5 certified, this product will also be suitable for athletes who can also control music playback via programmable touch controls. In short, these True Wireless headphones are clearly one of the best models under the 100 € mark.

4. Earfun Free, the best low cost alternative

The Earfun Free are a very good alternative to AirPods for the most contained budgets. Sold for less than 50 €, these headphones offer an incredible quality / price ratio and features that are usually found on headphones over 100 €. Difficult to do better at this price.

The EarFun Free blew us away for totally wireless headphones for less than 50 euros. Although their design is as commonplace as that of other low-cost models, their performance is superior. We were also impressed with the features on offer: Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and wireless charging, fully waterproof IPX7 design. As for the audio quality, it is surprisingly good for the price. Granted, the EarFun Free doesn’t have the clarity of high-end wireless headphones, but they deliver generous bass and a decent level of detail. An excellent product at a low price.
